Vans was established in 1966 by bothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren along with partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia. Starting as as a custom-made sneakers shop for “everyone in the family," Vans gained exponential popularity in the 1990s within American skating communities. From the down-to-earth, everyday sneaker shop that has embraced the “made that day and sold that day” ethos, Vans has now transformed into a globally recognized street culture brand. A fact exemplified by their variety of instantly recognisable and iconic models such as the Old Skool, the Authentic, and the Sk8-Hi. Over more than 50 years, Vans has stayed true to its roots of simplicity and authenticity, adding a touch of vintage innocence to our ever-changing world.
